Shelby graduated from OVCMT’s two year program in late 2018 and registered with both CMTBC and RMTBC as soon as the opportunity came available to her in spring 2019. Since then she has continued to hone her craft working with a variety of ailments - from motor vehicle accidents, sports and overuse injuries to postural improvements and pain management.

As an enthusiastic equestrian who lives on and manages a small farm, Shelby oftentimes does two things at once, even in treatment. Do expect part of your massage to be continuing some interview and assessment questions. This is not meant to distract from a relaxing massage, but to further understand your lifestyle, goals and better understand how best to meet them. Also unique about Shelby is her own relationship with chronic illness, as someone living with MS, she very much understands the difficulties and unpredictable nature of these disorders. You will find she is a little extra careful to reduce exposure to illness of any kind, and as such does have a mask policy and will not bring in clients who are sick.

When not at the office Shelby is usually riding horses, training her dog, caring for chickens or maybe just chilling on the couch with her husband. She has a lifelong love of music, reading and movies as well as an inherited passion for automotives.

Bobi has been practicing massage therapy since 2013 after graduating from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. She is registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) and is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of BC (RMTBC). In 2019, she founded Ascent Therapy in Kelowna, where she continues to provide evidence-informed, patient-centred care.

Over the years, Bobi has worked in a variety of settings, including home-based practice, luxury spa environments, and busy multidisciplinary clinics. Drawing from each experience, she has developed a treatment style that combines effective therapeutic work with a relaxing approach tailored to each patient. She enjoys treating a wide range of conditions and appreciates the challenge of helping patients achieve their individual goals.

Education has always been one of Bobi’s greatest passions. After years of teaching massage therapy and managing student clinics, she became a co-founder and instructor at Sena College of Massage Therapy, where she teaches future Registered Massage Therapists while helping shape the next generation of the profession. She has also completed the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) through Vancouver Community College, further strengthening her skills as an educator.

Outside the clinic and classroom, you’ll usually find Bobi hiking with her camera and her pets or curled up with a good book. A lifelong learner at heart, she’s always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge and improve both as a clinician and educator. Whether you’re curious about massage therapy, anatomy, or how the body works, she’s always happy to answer questions and share what she knows.

James’ goal is to make a meaningful, lasting difference. He believes in treating the whole person; to this effect, James will seek to achieve balance between and within your skeleton and soft tissues. James enjoys unravelling the convoluted process that is dysfunction, understanding that the presentation of pain and altered function is often the product of an accumulation of tensions, injuries, and life events in general. While it might be true that a recent episode ‘triggered’ the symptoms, there is likely more to the story. He enjoys addressing visceral manipulation, craniosacral techniques, and somatoemotional release as mediums to restore health. You’ll come away from treatment with a deeper understanding of your symptoms.

His passion was discovered during Kinesiology studies at Brock University. It was after he achieved his Bachelor in Kinesiology that he enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Sutherland-Chan Teaching School and Clinic. More recently, James has completed his Manual Osteopathic Therapy studies through the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada. He continues to evolve his practice through on-going seminars hosted by the Barral Institute.

You can find James outside on the mountain tops with either a pair of trail runners or on a bike. Elsewise, he’ll likely be passed out in his hammock with a book on his chest and his lovely wife Danyelle close by. James invites you to explore his pursuit of understanding the human body and all of its beautiful intricacies.
