Shelby graduated from OVCMT’s two year program in late 2018 and registered with both CMTBC and RMTBC as soon as the opportunity came available to her in spring 2019. Since then she has continued to hone her craft working with a variety of ailments - from motor vehicle accidents, sports and overuse injuries to postural improvements and pain management.
As an enthusiastic equestrian who lives on and manages a small farm, Shelby oftentimes does two things at once, even in treatment. Do expect part of your massage to be continuing some interview and assessment questions. This is not meant to distract from a relaxing massage, but to further understand your lifestyle, goals and better understand how best to meet them. Also unique about Shelby is her own relationship with chronic illness, as someone living with MS, she very much understands the difficulties and unpredictable nature of these disorders. You will find she is a little extra careful to reduce exposure to illness of any kind, and as such does have a mask policy and will not bring in clients who are sick.
When not at the office Shelby is usually riding horses, training her dog, caring for chickens or maybe just chilling on the couch with her husband. She has a lifelong love of music, reading and movies as well as an inherited passion for automotives.

James’ goal is to make a meaningful, lasting difference. He believes in treating the whole person; to this effect, James will seek to achieve balance in your: spine, pelvis and cranium, fascial network, craniosacral system, organ function, and nervous system function.
James enjoys unravelling the convoluted process that is dysfunction, understanding that the presentation of pain and altered function is often found distant to the primary cause. Furthermore, he respects that both conscious and subconscious sensory information in the body inform dysfunction; the key here is to also consider and treat distressful sensory input that we are unaware of. He enjoys addressing, often under explored, aspects of visceral (organ) and central nervous system manipulation as mediums to restore health. You’ll come away from treatment with an elevated understanding your symptoms and how treatment may be able to help.
His passion was discovered during Kinesiology studies at Brock University. It was after he achieved his Honors Bachelor in Kinesiology that he enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Sutherland-Chan Teaching School and Clinic. More recently, James has completed his Manual Osteopathic Therapy studies through the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada and continues to fine tune his skills through the Barral Institute.
You can find James outside on the mountain tops with his wife Danyelle and their Great Dane, Simba. Elsewise, he’ll likely be passed out in his hammock with a book on his chest, James invites you to explore his pursuit of understanding the human body and all of its beautiful intricacies.
